Fix Radio is looking for the UK’s best plumber and best apprentice.
The radio station’s Tradesperson of the Year Awards takes place at the NEC in Birmingham on Wednesday 9th October.
Taking place as part of UK Construction Week, the event celebrates the unsung heroes of the construction industry.
As well as the best plumber and apprentice, Fix Radio also wants nominations for the best bricklayer, roofer, decorator, carpenter, kitchen and bathroom fitter, electro technician, housebuilder, site manager and overall tradesperson.
The winners will be those who have gone above and beyond to master their trade and deliver exceptional quality.
You can put yourself forward or nominate a colleague at www.fixradio.co.uk. All entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts.
‘Above and beyond’
The awards will be presented on the main stage at UK Construction Week by Clive Holland. Clive presents Fix Radio’s Tool Box show and presented six series of Cowboy Trap on BBC One.
Fix Radio launched in April 2017 and is the UK’s only radio station dedicated to the trade. It is available on DAB radio in London and Manchester, and online across the UK.
Louis Timpany, the station’s CEO, said: “We’re hugely excited about this year’s awards. Every day across our various shows we get to hear about all the great work that goes on across the nation’s building sites, but have never been in a position to highlight the incredible people in this industry.
“These awards are all about celebrating those that have gone above and beyond. We’ll be broadcasting live from the event as usual and look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.”
