Apprentices awarded equipment bursaries to kick-start their career
The Worshipful Company of Plumbers (WCoP) has announced six recipients of its bursary to help kick-start their careers in the plumbing industry.
The HHIC is the industry voice for the UK domestic heating and hot water industry. It operates 16 working groups that cover a full spectrum of technical and commercial influences.
The BPMA is a not-for-profit trade association representing the interests of UK and Irish manufacturers and suppliers of liquid pumps and other pump-related equipment.
A new reciprocal membership agreement will see each organisation become an associate member of the other. Recent meetings covered a number of shared interests, including the issue of non-compliant circulator pumps being sold in the UK.
Stewart Clements, Director at the HHIC, said: “Although we each have our quite specific roles to play and memberships to serve, it is clear that in certain areas there are commonalities of interest. I very much welcome this agreement and look forward to developing some shared initiatives moving forward.”
Gary Wilde, Technical Services Officer at the BPMA, said: “With our total number of members at a record high, and an ever-expanding suite of activities being presented, I am delighted to have entered into this special arrangement with the HHIC.
“There are a number of common interests between our two organisations and I’ve no doubt we can each benefit from the other’s knowledge and expertise in those areas.”
