We had a chat with Josh Morales, the Learner of the Month for November!
The HIP Learner of the Month award celebrates students and apprentices who are passionate about the future of the plumbing & heating industry, going above and beyond in their apprenticeships to set the standards of the industry.
HIP has launched the award to recognise the efforts that students and apprentices have put into learning the trade.
Josh was nominated by his college, Coleg Llandrillo, and was chosen as the Learner of the Month after a week of voting and testimonials on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

Thank you to everyone who told us why our nominees should win the November #HIPLOTM award! After reading all your messages and looking at the nominees' submitted work, Josh has been named as the winner! Massive congratulations Josh, you've won a @triton_showers bundle! Don't forget, you can still nominate your learner or apprentice for December's award sponsored by Graham the Plumbers' Merchant! #plumbingapprentices #plumbingstudents
The award was sponsored by Triton Showers, who sent Josh a shower bundle.
Our runners-up were Daniel Varey from South Gloucestershire & Stroud College and Michael Walentin from Cardiff & Vale College.
Josh, 21, was nominated for the following reason by his lecturer Chris Walling: “For a relatively inexperienced apprentice, the standard of his work and attitude are excellent.
“He works with minimal supervision and is progressing really well.”
